上款：「香公」即羅香林（1906－1978），字元一，廣東興寧人。畢業於
清華大學，後任教於中山大學。四九年後移居香港，歷任大專院校教
席，五十年代中期入香港大學中文系任教，直至六九年退休。他是著
名歷史學家、客家學開創者、中國族譜學肇基人。

註：羅元一先生與水原父子亦兩代交誼，一九七○年訪日時即寓水原
家中，與琴窗渭江父子詩酒唱酬。他雖不以詩詞見著，惟水原琴窗詞
稿結集之際，仍親撰序並倚聲奉酬，交情非淺，足可見矣。本幅乃丁
衍庸贈羅氏之作，蓋兩人具新亞書院共事之誼。後由羅氏三子羅康轉
贈水原渭江誌念。
