Condition
French assay marks for 18 carat gold. Signed Cartier, Paris and numbered 0 18380, maker's mark. Monogrammed D.S. at the centre, on interior of cover. Signs of normal wear to the metal, particularly to the bottom, scratches consistent with age and use. In good condition. Total weight approximately 509 grams.

姓名縮寫D.S代表丹尼絲·西默農(1920-1995年)，知名比利時小說與短篇小說作家喬治·西默農(1903-1989年)之妻。西默農以馬戈探長系列故事聞名。丹尼絲出嫁前本姓衛梅，1945年在紐約遇見西默農，1950年在內華達雷諾城成婚。育有三子。後移居法國，最後定居瑞士。
