Rubies of Burmese origin cannot be imported into the US. This piece may contain rubies of Burmese origin and therefore may not be able to be imported into the US. Signed Cartier Paris, maker's marks for Cartier. French assay marks for platinum and gold. Cabochon sapphire estimated to measure approximately 16.25 x 20.35 x 12.80 mm and estimated to weigh approximately 45.50 carat, as gauged in mounting, of medium to medium-light saturation and tone, with typical crystal inclusions. Rubies estimated to weigh a total of approximately 4.80 - 5.20 carats, well matched in colour, with typical crystal inclusions, some surface reaching. Diamond bright and lively. Signs of normal wear to the metal, scratches and tarnish consistent with use. In good condition. Gross weight approximately 55 grams.
