註：朱昂之寄寓蘇州，浸淫於「吳門畫派」畫風，取法文徵明尖刻細勁一路，筆下以山水居多，面貌尤近陸治。本幅乃其少作之花卉，謂倣元人王若水筆意，惟牡丹花葉鈎勒，及岩石外沿之綫條處理，用筆之爽利尖銳，正是包山影響之痕迹，但敷色雅淡，渲染自然，不無柔媚之態，恰好與綫條銳利起調和互濟之效！
