註：江寒汀鮮作山水，僅偶一為之。本幅構圖見張張帆影自遠而近，如列隊徐徐駛來，近景孤亭靠岸，點綴林木，正是傳統山水佈局，惟題跋若此，則頗出觀者意料！

他靠鬻畫滬上維生，贈友輩仝道外，每有所製，多為滿足求畫者所需。故畫中所題，或指涉黃埔灘頭貿易往來繁盛之景，蓋寫畫時距上海開埠逾百載矣。又或誌賀某商號或某行業，「源遠流長」，自有事業綿延之意。相類應制而繪之作，多圖像鮮明，從俚流俗，惟江氏不落俗套，改以曲筆喻意出之。畫中筆墨寫意，色調明快，意境清淡秀逸，化俗為雅，足見其心思。
