上款：「天如」即唐天如（1877-1961），字恩溥，廣東新會人。少年舉孝廉，後為國史館總裁。歷任廣東高等學府教職，晚年移居香港。

唐氏工詩擅書，與文化界往來頻仍，尤與黃賓虹過從密切，早於二十年代，已獲饋贈精品。見諸具其上款之書畫，多屬京華藝壇名家所貽，如陳衡恪、王雲、黃秋岳等，本聯即其一。
