-Painting was complete in old paper deliberately by the artist. Paper appears to be old and fragile. Otherwise, generally in good condition.

上款：「西爽」即黃敦良（1906-1967），浙江吳興人。精歧黃之術，嗜書畫，有畫名於時，擅繪山水，師法古人。又好與文藝界遊，與海上畫壇諸家，往來密切，時獲贈精品，如與吳湖帆、謝稚柳交情深厚，五十年代屢獲佳作饋贈。
註：一九五七年春，畫家伉儷有廣東之行，遊羅浮，過廣州，與在穗友人及同行之徐伯效夫婦敍晤甚歡。本幅乃粵遊後返滬所作，已屆仲秋，追憶從化温泉之景，以贈藝友黃西爽。雖云寫景所在，構圖技法仍師前賢，見董巨遺韻。選用應屬舊紙，材質之纖維呈老化，揭裱時原紙部份稍缺，見修補痕迹，惟筆墨蒼茫，古意盎然，無損其神貌！
