Rubies of Burmese origin cannot be imported into the US. This piece contains a ruby of Burmese origin and therefore cannot be imported into the US. Accompanied by SSEF report no. 64398, stating that the cushion-shaped ruby weighing 4.07 carats and measuring 11.12 x 8.23 x 4.98 mm, is of Burmese origin, with no indications of heating. French maker's mark on the clasp (D.D). French assay mark and stamped 750 for 18 carat gold, mounted in yellow gold. Ruby red of medium strong saturation, with typical inclusions, a few surface reaching, few scratches and nicks on the surface, one larger chip on the girdle and pavilion next to a prong; for further information on the stone, please refer to the SSEF report. Baguette diamonds bright and lively, estimated to weigh a total of approximately 1.50 - 2.00 carats, bright and lively. Clasp secure, safety catch below. Signs of normal wear to the metal, scratches consistent with use. In very good condition. Gross weight approximately 40 grams.
