Colour and Clarity: According to the jadeite certificate, the jadeite "Guanyin" is natural, type "A" jadeite. Please refer to the certificate for details. In our opinion, the jadeite "Guanyin" is highly translucent, of vivid emerald green colour. Upon illumination, there are some clouds, but not seen to naked eyes. The round diamond set atop weighs approximately 1.20 carats, about H to I colours, VS2 clarity. Other diamonds together weighing approximately 4.35 carats, are about F to G colours VS. Condition: Karat white gold mount, the back cover can be opened to review the translucency of the pendant, overall in very good condition. IMPORTANT NOTICE: Please note that jadeite and rubies of Burmese origin and articles of jewellery containing jadeite or rubies of Burmese origin all less than 100 years old may not be imported into the US. The purchaser's inability to import any item into the U.S. or any other country as a result of these or other restrictions shall not justify cancellation or rescission of the sale or any delay in payment. 觀音的慈悲祥和

觀音是「西方三聖」之一，相貌端莊慈祥，經常手持凈瓶楊柳，具有無量的智慧。當人們遭遇困境時，只要念其名號，觀音便會前往救渡。觀音救苦救難的故事在中國世代流傳，除了在家中放置觀音雕像保家人平安，佩戴翡翠精工雕琢而成的觀音也有許多不同的寓意。貼身佩戴觀音能除心中雜念和暴戾之氣，使人心境平和；「觀音」又跟「官印」諧音，所以男士佩戴翡翠觀音有官運亨通和財源廣進的意思；而因為傳說中有「送子觀音」的說法，所以求子夫婦佩戴觀音亦能得賞所願。

雖然民間流傳不同觀音的造型和姿態，但要打造最上乘的翡翠觀音，除了要求物料本身的色澤鮮艷濃郁，水種兼備，也考驗工匠的技藝。觀音的面相一定要乾淨對稱，五官精緻，姿勢自然不造作，帶出祥和的感覺，才稱得上是上佳之品。是次春拍呈獻的拍品1749絶對是翡翠觀音當中極為難得的作品，無論在翡翠的顏色、水頭、種質，以至於觀音的神態、面相和比例都臻至完美，定必為所有見過、觸摸過和佩戴的人帶來無盡的祝福和庇蔭。
