Colour and Clarity: According to Gübelin, GIA and SSEF reports, the rubies are natural, of Burma (Mogok)origin, with no indications of heating. According to the GIA Gem Portrait book, these two rubies are of vivid red colour which may also be called as "Pigeon's Blood" red in the trade. Please refer to the reports and separate booklet for details. In our opinion, the two rubies are matching, of saturated, warm velvety red colour, eye clean. Upon 10x loupe, there are microscopic silk inclusions, characteristic inclusions of Mogok materials; one ruby has minor surface fissures close to girdle, not seen to naked eyes. Four marquise and two pear-shaped diamonds in the surmounts, according to GIA reports, are D to E colours, VVS1 to VS1 clarity, all with Excellent Polish and three of them also with Excellent Symmetry. Please refer to the GIA reports for details. Other smaller marquise and pear-shaped diamonds weigh about 0.60 to 0.95 carat each, are of similar quality. Condition: Platinum and karat yellow gold mount, in excellent condition. IMPORTANT NOTICE: Please note that jadeite and rubies of Burmese origin and articles of jewellery containing jadeite or rubies of Burmese origin all less than 100 years old may not be imported into the US. The purchaser's inability to import any item into the U.S. or any other country as a result of these or other restrictions shall not justify cancellation or rescission of the sale or any delay in payment.
