原畫簽條尚存，分別於一九二八年四月及六月由京華醫學名宿徐誦明、王同觀所書，題贈日人小野寺。徐誦明乃病理學家，王同觀專長婦產科，徐氏任北平大學醫學院院長時，王氏為其學生，兩人又先後留學東瀛，從背景推敲，獲贈畫者似同屬醫學界中人，故得此以誌訪華之行。若對照畫中風格，與白石二十年代作品亦相脗合。
