上款：「君璧」即畫家黃君璧。
大千先生一九三三年南遊廣東，於穗城拜訪藝壇仝道，與黃君璧訂交即在此時。大千擅寫二石，君翁筆下擬石谿畫法亦出神入化，惺惺相惜，自三十年代以迄五十年代，屢作畫送贈。本幅即其一。畫上無署年，以八大法寫水仙竹石，自署「阿爰」，按畫風、題款字體及鈐用印章，若與一九三三年贈張岳軍之〈仿石濤山水冊〉參照，可推知本幅似寫於同年，即兩人訂交之初。
