註：本幅源自德國著名收藏家Hans-Jürgen von Lochow（1902-1989）收藏。他在大學期間攻讀機械工程，畢業後服務於政府鐵道部。一九三四年，獲遣中國參與策劃鐵道現代化。隨著局勢扭轉，德華關係轉惡，德國顧問團撤返，他卻獲國民政府續約。一九四○至五○年間，留居故都，他對中國文物興趣極濃，遂專嗜搜集，以青銅器為主，兼收陶瓷、傢具、書畫等。滯留期間，其經濟漸拮据，但仍拒絕為日本特務及美國駐華機構服務，僅以教學維持生計。亦因如此，他在五○年獲得中國政府發給簽證離境，並特准攜帶收藏一併離開。他的珍藏以青銅器最為著名，後捐贈科隆市的東亞美術館，書畫項目以古畫為主。

本幅未有署年，從畫風及選取傳統條幅形式創作，似屬畫家三十年代後期筆下所出。作品仍保持立軸裝裱，似為收藏者當年攜走時原貌，簽條具德文題「林風眠山水」字樣。
