嘯菴二兄先生選成句屬篆，即希鑒家正腕。歲次柔兆困敦律中夾鐘之月中澣。福厂居士王褆。

鈐印：「躬入篆室」、「王褆」、「福厂五十後書」。

-Signs of restoration could be found at the upper section of the painting, where there was a crack. Paper colour appears to be slightly greyish. Light stains could be found on the left couplet. Generally in fair condition.

上款：「嘯菴」或為夏仁虎（1874-1963）。夏氏，字蔚如，號嘯庵，江蘇南京人。晚清民國期間，先後役於政府，後轉教育界。四九年後獲聘為中央文史館館員。其學問淵博，所涉範圍包括詩詞、戲曲、小說、地方文獻等，一生著述甚豐。

註：「柔兆困敦」即丙子，一九三六年；「律中夾鐘」為仲春，農曆二月。
