-Signs of restoration can be found on the couplet, where there appears to be insect bites, paper loss, paper tear, especially at the top and bottom of the couplet. Paper has turned greyish due to age. Light creases, stains and signs of abrasion can be found, which can be improved by restoration. Otherwise, generally in fair condition.

註：黃子高，廣東番禺人。道光十年（1830）優貢生，受知於翁方綱，又獲粵督阮元聘為學海堂山長。他專精金石文字，所著〈續三十五舉〉，為專研篆學之著，篆書更被推為清代廣東之冠，惜傳世作品甚稀。
