註：泉塘吳鞠潭氏，以詩文著名，擅書法，其行書得唐晉人丰神，晚清寓居滬上，與海派諸家友善，如任伯年、胡公壽、朱夢廬等，任頤精製巨幅以壽其五十二誕辰，而名家扇面多倩其小字行書匹配，流行一時。其作品雖多，惟對聯則鮮見，本幅大字書於灑金紅箋上，運筆灑脫，墨彩燦然，豐腴飽滿而不臃滯，足見其書法造詣之多樣性。
