溥儒題識

題識：
此白石翁晚年得意之筆，乃三尺立幅，遭鼠嚙，題識印記俱毀。薇風截存其半，而精意斯存，若管中窺豹，見其一斑，別得佳趣。壬辰冬月。心畬記。

鈐印：「溥儒之印」、「畊煙」。

註：「薇風」即曹薇風，湖南人，憲兵上校。政權轉易之際，東南軍政長官公署在台北中山南路設凱歌歸招待所，他即任職於此。心畬先生初抵台灣，獲安排暫居該處。或因舊識憲兵司令張鎮關係，頗得曹氏照顧，即使遷居臨沂街後，往來頻仍，溥氏贈其新春賀歲之〈玉壺迎春〉，畫上題曰「余客台灣，居臨沂街。薇風兄每夜來談，雖風雨無阻也」，足見二人之交誼，日後寫贈書畫極夥。

本幅未具白石署款鈐印，按溥儒題識，乃曹薇風所藏齊氏之作，因殘破，截裁而成今貌。惟荷葉游蝦，皆白石好寫之題材，雖僅存局部，無損蝦之游態躍動，難怪心畬讚曰「精意斯存」！又曹氏與畫家同籍湖南，其上級張鎮亦白石舊交，早於四八年，曹氏即獲白石贈篆書詩，可知彼此淵源始於遷台前也。
