註：陶壽伯早歲浸淫於金石碑版，繪畫則始於畫梅。他自謂「四九歲，我從香港到台灣，畫墨梅、紅梅……」，遂以擅畫梅享譽藝壇。在台時，心畬先生與他過從密切，即使赴日韓講學，亦倩其為門人示範寫梅，足見器重甚矣。

本幅乃一九五一年底造訪溥氏臨沂街寓所時所寫，以折枝紅梅入畫，墨淡色鮮，意境雅逸，心畬補綴蒼松一枝，上結果實，松梅交叠，益顯歲寒清冽，雖云合作，筆墨相配，如出一手，有天衣無縫之妙。
