澗水縈紆鳥不鳴，踏歌聲亞䃺茶聲；
屐喧堦影翻紅藥，樓抱珠光綻綠櫻。
頭點石先成佛相，病除天欲老詩情；
荷鉏戴笠家何在，儻尔長沮便耦耕。
六三園贈友人詩。清道人讀之，謂尚有氣魄。戊午夏六月，錄於禪甓軒。吳昌碩記。

註：缶老題「贈友人」，即指日籍好友白石六三郎（1868-1934）。白石氏，號「鹿叟」，長崎人。民初於滬上經營「六三園」，供日本料理精饌，書畫界常雅集其間，飲酒賞花。昌碩與其尤交好，曾於該園之剪淞樓舉辦個展，又撰〈六三園記〉，勒石於園中。本幅所書，源出於畫家以詩問訊病中之鹿叟，復潤色加工而成。後屢寫之，題曰「六三園贈鹿叟」，並收入〈缶廬詩〉卷八。

又六三園植櫻花，缶老屢與藝友如王一亭、諸宗元、朱彊邨等觀賞，並張之以詩，謂「綠櫻一樹開極盛」，即與本幅「樓抱珠光綻綠櫻」句意相切，故畫匣又題「六三園看櫻花詩」。
