王蓬心仿大癡道人〈谿山深邃圖卷〉。嵩山居士手臨，時丁丑秋並記。

款識：
余於靜研齋頭見甲子歲所圖尺幅，有光祿太夫子題句，一紙盥誦至再，知奬勵後學之意深矣。今復繪此圖，嘆先澤之難追，感哲人之已邈。靜研大兄其何以教我。乙酉七月朔，蓬心宸畫並識。

蓬心太守晚歲以禿穎宿墨所作，絶不經意，似覺枯澀無味。曩年於趙樓得觀其仿古巨冊，體勢縱橫，神完氣足，雄渾樸茂，全從董巨得筆，乃知其驪珠已探，真盛名豈浪得哉！即如是卷，筆墨蒼潤，克承奉常、司農家法，與暮年所作，殆亦不能同日語也。原迹藏一貫軒，遂得借臨一過，不識豪墨間有神合否耶？
丁丑春仲慎得居士馮超然並識於嵩山草堂。

鈐印：「嵩山草堂」、「超然手臨」、「白鶴」、「馮超然印」、「慎得」。

註：馮超然畫追古法，以清初六家入手，遠溯宋元，造詣精湛。「四王」以降，對「小四王」中之王宸畫藝尤為推崇，筆下屢寫之，亦鼓勵學生臨寫研習。本幅所臨乃王宸中歲所仿黄公望〈谿山深邃圖卷〉，上鈐「超然手臨」印，可知乃對臨本，原迹藏王伯元「一貫軒」。王氏（1893-1977），浙江慈谿人，上海銀行界鉅子，好藏書畫，與吳湖帆、馮超然往來甚密。

本卷純敷素墨，濃淡得宜，寫於略泛微黃之細絹上，畫面無沾燥猛之氣，入眼一片江南景致，亟見蒼潤明快，氣息高古。雖云對臨，他寫來格調温雅，韵味醇厚，直是胸中逸氣之流露，與古人意境契合。難怪滌舸長跋於卷尾曰「體勢縱橫，神完氣足，雄渾樸茂」，雖讚蓬心，實自況也！
