Although Jan van Cloon (active 1710-34) is known to have made other forms, he appears to have largely produced salvers. A surviving invoice dated May 4, 1722 was for the manufacture of 34 salvers engraved in memory of a merchant called Philibert van Coulster. The sum charged of 1577.5 rix-dollars is equivalent to €41,000 in today's money.
