one with flat handle engraved "Je Brulle" below a flaming heart, the side engraved "A. Cille", Clermont-Ferrand (Riom), c. 1760; the second with snake handle, the side engraved "P. Oudin", François-Luc Bouvier, Trévoux (Lyons), c. 1770; the third with shaped ring handle, the sides punched with grapes and engraved "NL Bonet 1708", maker's mark DC (Beuque & Frapsauce 402) for a maker in Trévoux, c. 1770; the last with flat handle engraved as a shell, the front initialed "PPL", maker's mark RE, possible Rouen, c. 1770
