Colour and Clarity: According to the Jadeite Testing Certificates, the jadeite beads on necklace and carved jadeite pendants on brooch are natural, type "A" jadeite. Please refer to the certificates for details. In our opinion, the jadeite beads are translucent, of apple green tone suffused with medium to intense green colour patches; and the carved jadeite plaque set in the clasp is of translucent, medium green colour. Upon illumination, there are clouds in both the jadeite beads and plaque, but not seen in normal lighting. Faceted ruby beads are of intense to deep strong red colour. Two jadeite pendants suspending from the brooch are matching and highly translucent, of deep celadon tone, with cloud inclusions under strong illumination. Cabochon rubies are medium deep red hue, of translucent clarity. Diamonds altogether weighing approximately 0.80 carat, are about I to K colours, VS to SI clarity. Condition: Signs of normal wear to the mounts, otherwise both in very good condition. IMPORTANT NOTICE: Please note that jadeite and rubies of Burmese origin and articles of jewellery containing jadeite or rubies of Burmese origin all less than 100 years old may not be imported into the US. The purchaser's inability to import any item into the U.S. or any other country as a result of these or other restrictions shall not justify cancellation or rescission of the sale or any delay in payment. Please check with the specialist department if you are uncertain as to whether a lot is subject to these import restrictions, or any other restrictions on importation or exportation.
