Condition
Both pieces in overall good condition. BROOCH: Some evidence of discoloration and tarnish to the gold and silver respectively, along with some wear, including a small dent noticeable under close inspection. The center sapphire is a deep slightly greenish blue and very slightly included. The medium to medium-deep blue sapphires are moderately to heavily included, with examples of surface-reaching inclusions, chips to the pavilions and minor wear to the facet junctions only visible under close inspection; one sapphire missing. The white sapphires are eye-clean and display no visible color with the exception of one which has a slight yellow hue. The pink sapphires are medium to medium-deep slightly purplish pink, slightly to moderately included. Displaying an assay mark indicating both silver and gold content. Diameter approximately 2 1/3 inches. BRACELET: Evidence of solder repair and wear throughout, commensurate with age. Several assay marks indicating silver and gold content, as well a partial French maker's mark. The sapphires range from medium-light to medium-deep slightly violetish blue and are moderately included. The white sapphires are eye-clean and display no visible color, heavily included with several significant chips to the tables, not readily apparent when worn. The pink sapphires are medium to medium-deep purplish pink, slightly to moderately included.
