Condition
The canvas has an old glue relining which is firm and stable. The paint surface is a little abraded in areas beneath a slightly yellowed and dirty varnish though the painting presents a good image overall. Inspection under UV reveals minor retouching scattered throughout the figures and background sky, some attending to the craquelure though overall it is difficult to read due to the varnish. The painting would benefit from a light clean and revarnish.
Offered in a simply carned gilt wood frame.
