款識：
少時讀書，能記憶而苦於無用。中年讀書，知有用而患於遺忘。故惟有著書一事，不惟經自己手筆，可以不忘，亦且因之搜閱簡編，遍及幽僻，向所忽畧，今盡留心，敗笥蠹簡，皆為我用。始知藏書之有益，向來用功之蹉跎也！
六十八年三月十六日午夜書謝在杭語。八十一叟爰。
鈐印：「張爰之印」、「大千居士」、「己未」、「摩耶精舍」。
