註：傅抱石留學日本、任教中央大學皆仰仗徐悲鴻極力保薦，與徐氏關係亦及家屬。他屢有贈畫與蔣碧微，在〈蔣碧微珍藏近代名家書畫選集〉，收有其贈畫兩幅；一九四三年〈山水〉以「碧微夫人」相稱，本幅寫於四年之後，改稱「先生」，是時徐蔣已解除婚姻關係。

本幅寫於一九四七年正月初九，或為抱石新春赴蔣家致賀，舊友相敍，興之所致，拈熟識題材繪於小冊，構圖筆墨皆精簡，雖未攜印章，惟暢意隨心，不著痕迹，故見神來之筆。
