上款：「紹青」即徐紹青（1919—1995），蘇州人，好書畫，投「梅景書屋」學藝，又得睹「大風堂」珍藏劇蹟，眼界與技藝皆大有進步。他擅畫山水，兼工花鳥。五六年，擔任蘇州市工藝美術研究室副主任，致力蘇繡、繹絲藝術精品的創作設計工作，大有成就，後獲授予國家級工藝美術家稱號。

徐氏與湖帆同籍蘇州，又為草橋中學先後校友，故列「梅景書屋」門牆，極得乃師賞識，屢獲精品寫贈。本幅以翠蓋朱裳入畫，嫩綠嬌紅，清潤秀麗，堪作寫荷之範本，於徐氏投師翌年相贈，既屬紀念，亦可供作研習畫藝之用。
