袁守謙（1904-1992），字企止，湖南省長沙人，黃埔軍校第一期畢業後，從戎，先後參加東征、北伐、抗日等戰役，歷任黨政要職。四九年隨國民政府播遷台灣，以陸軍二級上將退役。他嗜收藏，所積古代書畫甚豐，亦有不少得自同輩書畫家送贈。
