註：非闇寫畫，多謂得法自道君皇帝，亦及宋刻絲畫。本幅實取自清宮舊藏宋沈子蕃刻絲，他在戊寅歲初寫有多本，構圖相若，細節略有增刪添改，用筆工細，設色敷粉，清麗雅淡，喜鵲依依之態，生動可人，堪稱其筆下工筆花鳥之典範。從其傳世畫迹可見，本幅乃是年第三本，尺幅稍小，佈局如一，惟描繪粗幹、竹葉略為簡化，雙鵲皆昂首仰望，而非互視，有此改動，或配合「喜上眉梢」之題。
