此余去歲所畫者，年來人事迫促，匆匆塗抹，離古法愈遠，而誦昭女
士嗜之彌深，出此屬為署款，珠玉在前，益增慙愧。癸亥十月。金城又記。

鈐印：「金城之印」、「拱北」。

-Signs of restoration can be found in the bottom section of the painting, where there appears to be paper crack and paper losses previously. Light stains in the bottom section and creases in the middle along the right edge can be found, which can be improved by restoration. Otherwise, generally in good condition.

上款：「誦昭」即孫誦昭（1878-1968），無錫人，幼從雙親習繪事，二十年代先後加入北京大學畫法研究會及中國畫學研究會，二九年拜齊白石門下。孫氏擅花卉，能詩文，五十年代獲聘為中央文史研究館館員。

註：題跋謂「時將有日東之行」，即指一九二二年五月在東京舉行之「中日繪畫聯展」，此為中國畫學研究會舉辦之大型活動，金城乃主事者之一。
