款識：
本冊集沈曾植、朱祖謀、鄭孝胥、曾熙四家書法，每家四開，合共十六開。
沈曾植一九二二年臨〈石鼓文〉、〈魯峻碑〉、〈爨寶子碑〉及書洪亮吉詩。朱祖謀書〈文心雕龍〉、韓愈詩、劉禹錫詩及周密文序。一九二三年，鄭孝胥臨〈雍州刺史元頊墓誌〉、〈元略墓志〉、〈魯峻碑〉、〈漢禮器碑〉。同年曾熙書〈齊侯罍銘〉、〈急就章〉、〈石門銘〉等四碑。

鈐印：每家各鈐印四至五方。

註：本冊集民初四家書法，書者遜清皆具科名，亦曾廟堂任事，鼎革後，居滬上，或考研學問，或鬻字教學，除彊邨以詞聞名，其餘三家皆精詣書法。冊中朱孝臧以本體書風錄〈文心雕龍〉及唐宋詩文；另三人或臨碑碣，或摹寫吉金文字，足見當時碑學風氣盛行，影響所及。沈寐叟晚年鬻字，遍臨諸碑，得法於爨寶子碑尤多，冊中臨魯峻、爨寶子二碑，體勢樸茂飛揚，書成於一九二二年秋，同年底即病逝，可謂其最後墨跡。鄭孝胥一九二三年臨漢魏四碑，清剛遒勁。同年曾熙臨〈齊侯罍銘〉、〈急就章〉、〈石門銘〉等，書體面貌最為豐富，是年其書法潤例「行草比真書減一元。篆書倍直。隸書加半」，證諸冊中四開，可見求書者眼光獨到，所求皆曾氏所精擅者。
