上款：「琴齋」即著名金石書法家簡經綸（1890-1950）。簡氏，廣東番禺人，早年歸自南洋，居滬，與書畫界交往頻仍，湖帆即其藝友之一。本幅集宋人詞句入聯；同年翌月，復為簡氏手臨〈張遷碑〉冊題跋，稱其隸書「直逼漢室，形神俱得而不為古人縛住」，可見彼此書畫藝術相交之深。
