上款：黃蘇，即澳門商人黃英，抗戰期間，於濠江經營寄閒俱樂部，出入者皆當地殷商富賈。他與粵劇界人士關係密切，覊旅澳門者，多得其接待，名伶任劍輝即其夫人。

註：廣州淪陷，鄧芬避兵，移居於港澳間。寄身濠江時，得黃蘇接待，於清平直街之寄閒俱樂部闢室供其作畫，鄧氏遂以「藕絲孔居」為此室號，文藝界人士亦經常聚集其間。黃氏夫人任劍輝亦得其收為義女，故交往頻密。本幅寫於「寄閒樓上」，正是寓「藕絲孔居」之時，以工筆精繪東方朔偷桃，喻賀壽之意，似為奉黃蘇祝嘏之物。
