款識：著衣喫飯。丙寅(1806)年夏，伊秉綬。鈐印：「故太守章」、「伊秉綬印」
題識於裱禙：寧化伊太守墨卿，乾隆十九年(1754)甲戌生，五十四年(1789)己酉成進士，出守惠州，多善政，再守揚州，提唱風雅，有功藝苑。嘉慶二十年乙亥卒，六十二歲。公書法似李西涯，尤精古隸，樸古奇逸，深得金石氣。此幀隸法雄渾高古，尤為瓌寶，以重金購於廣州，款署丙寅四月，下鈐「故太守章」，攷嘉慶十一年(1806)丙寅為公五十三歲，是時已解組矣。丙子(1936)任兄賢□新廈落成，以此貽之。松庵黃桂棻題識。鈐印：「芬」、「松庵」

註：從字面來說，此書額內容單純，但其實佛家、道家對「著衣喫飯」的境界也有不同理解，或許《朱子語類》一說更貼合墨卿心意：「君子必慎其獨，是別舉起一句致戒，又是一段工夫，且如著衣喫飯，也是為飢寒」。

黃桂棻(1874-1953)，字松庵，一字桂庵，晚號橘叟，廣東順德人，能詩꧋，擅山水，著有《黃松庵山水冊》。與梁鼎芬、葉恭綽、李研山等粵地畫家時有往來，當中與梁鼎芬交情甚督，亦師亦友，光緒年間梁鼎芬受命為兩湖書院監督時，黃桂棻亦於此執鞭授教，二人常有書信及詩文交流。30年代後期移居香港，潛心創作。

ꦗ本輯源於黃桂棻先生後人，藏品從未公開，皆以明清名家書畫為主，重其筆墨流露、氣質面貌，或有表現對該畫家之看法。
