Condition
The movement is running at time of cataloguing, however it was not tested for the accuracy of time or duration of the power reserve and may need service at the buyer's discretion. Cuvette inscribed Horloger de la Marine de l'Etat, 36 Palais Royal, Paris, Chaudé No. 11706. Please note that Sotheby's does not guarantee the future working of the movement. Case in overall very good condition with surface wear and light scuffs consistent with age. Light oxidation throughout. Chased surfaces remain beautifully crisp. Dial in overall very good condition with a small surface fracture between 30 and 35. Movement in very good vintage condition.
