exquisitely potted with delicate flaring sides rising from a flat base, the interior delicately incised with a single daylily borne on a curled stem with scrolling leaves, covered overall save for the rim with a transparent glaze over the off-white paste

The dish is in overall good condition, except for an approx. 1.3 cm shallow refilled chip to the mouthrim at 2 o'clock, as well as some expected surface scratches.

此盤器心刻折枝萱草，莖葉悠然捲曲，線條流麗生動，轉折深淺之間，刀法利落自如，盡顯匠人嫻熟工藝。如此飾樣，始現於北宋晚期，至金代之初仍極盛行，金代窖藏及墓葬中屢見出土。河北定窰遺址出土有例，紋飾與此同，然呈直侈口，不似本品之輕微外撇，斷為金代之物，現存河北省文物研究所，曾展於《定瓷雅集：故宮博物院珍藏及出土定窰瓷器薈萃》，故宮博物院，北京，2012年，編號105，同展另見北京故宮博物院藏例，其花瓣較現品纖細，釦口，編號104。台北國立故宮博物院也有類近器例，皆出自清宮舊藏，並釦口，斷年金代，收於《定州花瓷：院藏定窰系白瓷特展》，國立故宮博物院，台北，2014年，編號II 47-52。

平底敞口盤式，乃定窰經典器形，普見於北方，ꦚ年代最早之例𒉰發掘於北京遼代紀年天慶三年（1113）之丁文父子墓（劉淼，〈金代定窰瓷器的初步研究〉，《文物春秋》，2006年，第2期，頁11-12）。相類平底盤，也有醬釉、無紋、花口之例，如北京故宮博物院藏北宋醬釉素紋花口盤，釦口，收錄於《定瓷雅集》，前述出處，編號89。
