Always in Style: 150 Years of Artistic Jewels, sold by Sotheby’s New York on 20 April 2010, lot 105 

Colour and Clarity: In our opinion, the buff-top rubies and sapphires are of medium red to pinkish red and medium violetish blue colour respectively; and the calibré-cut emeralds are of light to medium green colour. Under the 10x loupe inspection, the rubies and sapphires are with minor typical natural inclusions, some with moderate abrasions on the dome and majority with pits on the surface but not visible to naked eye; and the emeralds are minor to noticeably included with typical natural inclusions and some are surface reaching. The black enamel branches with bubbling surface, tiny chips and scratches but not noticeable when worn.The diamonds are about J to K colour. mainly VS to SI clarity (with some I clarity). With French assay mark for platinum. Condition: Vintage platinum mount. Shows signs of normal wear commensurate with the age. Overall condition is good. IMPORTANT NOTICE: Please note that jadeite and rubies of Burmese origin and articles of jewellery containing jadeite or rubies of Burmese origin all less than 100 years old may not be imported into the US. The purchaser's inability to import any item into the U.S. or any other country as a result of these or other restrictions shall not justify cancellation or rescission of the sale or any delay in payment.
