Condition
Colour and Clarity: According to the SSEF report, the conch pearls are natural, saltwater pearl, with no indications of artificial colour modification. Please refer to the report for details. In our opinion, the conch pearls are round to off-round, in white, medium soft to medium intense pink, pinkish orange, orange, orangy brown and brown colour, with porcelain lustre, majority with noticeable flame pattern; a few with minute surface blemishes or minor opening which are not noticeable unless close up inspection. Old-mine-cut diamonds together weighing approximately 2.50 cts, J-L colour, VS clarity; one diamond with indented natural and one diamond with glue on the crown; all diamonds with abraded facet junctions.Condition: Platinum clasp with karat yellow gold tongue shows signs of normal wear, overall in good condition.

海螺珠的顏色嬌美，從奶白到棕色、橙色、粉紅到紅色都有，在維多利亞時代後期及Belle Époque 時代尤其受歡迎。海螺珠產自一種活在海裡的蝸牛，出現的機率約是萬分💙之一，而當中又只有十分之一達到寶石級，稱得上是極其稀有的大自然瑰寶。奈何過度捕獲及環境污染令這種海蝸牛的數量日漸減少，而因此實施的禁制令亦令採捕變得更困難。此外，因為海蝸牛的結構呈螺旋形，而且本身非常敏感，若進行人工養殖能令蝸牛🧸至死，所以儘管近年有文獻記載成功養殖海螺珠的研究，但卻未對天然海螺珠的價格有任何影響，反而令天然海螺珠更受重視﹐更受追捧。
