Condition
Rubies of Burmese origin cannot be imported into the US; this piece may contain a ruby of Burmese origin and therefore may not be able to be imported into the US. Signed Van Cleef & Arpels N.Y., numbered 5306. Stamped 750 for 18 carat gold. Cabochon ruby measuring approximately 8.29 x 6.99 x 5.83mm, purplish red of medium strong saturation, translucent, with typical inclusions, some surface reaching, cavities and nicks. Calbré-cut rubies well matched in colour. Diamonds bright and lively. Signs of wear to the metal consistent with use. Gross weight approximately 12 grams.
