Condition
Accompanied by SSEF report no. 87302 and Gübelin report no. 16090079, each stating that the cushion-shaped sapphire measuring approximately 13.00 x 9.00 x 5.50mm and calculated to weigh approximately 6.1 carats, is of Kashmir origin, with no indications of heating; also accompanied by a copy of the original invoice from René Boivin dated 8 July 1939.

French maker's mark for René Boivin. French assay marks for platinum and 18 carat gold. Brooch fitting inscribed DEPOSE SMM. Cushion-shaped sapphire blue of medium strong saturation, clean to the naked eye, with good transparency, minor abrasions and nicks; for further details on the stone, please refer to the gemmological reports. Baguette sapphires with typical inclusions, some surface reaching and colour banding. Diamonds bright and lively. Signs of normal wear to the metal consistent with age and use. In very good condition. Gross weight approximately 15 grams.
