A slightly larger jade horse carved in a similar reclining pose, from the collection of Dr Ip Yee, was included in the exhibition Chinese Jade Carving, Hong Kong Museum of Art, Hong Kong, 1983, cat. no. 163; two were sold in our London rooms, the first, 7th June 1994, lot 104, and the second, from the collection of Lord Arlington, 29th November 1993, lot 30; and another, from the Mary and George Bloch collection, was last sold in these rooms, 8th April 2014, lot 3061.
