the thin plaque intricately modelled as a soaring apsara, the angelic being rendered adorned in fluttering long robes and ribbons, all above billowing ruyi cloud scrolls

There are minute nibblings and tiny nicks to the extremities, the most significant a tiny chip to the left of the apsara. The carving has also been stained, possibly from a metallic substance. The carving is otherwise in overall good condition.

此玉飛天，呈片狀，鏤空飛天半躺，臉向正面，背面也有刻劃，頭盤高髻，身穿寬衣飄帶簡潔，隱約見跣足，下承鋸齒狀捲雲猶如捲草，整體舒展優美自如，樸拙卻生動。其臉側有淺鑽孔，沿邊有金屬痕跡，似銀，或曾鑲嵌於金屬飾件以便佩戴。與此相類之玉飛天，北京故宮博物院有藏，見其中三例，斷為唐朝之物，載於《故宮博物院藏文物珍品全集．玉器（中）》，香港，1995年，編號17-19。
