the buckle with each section well worked in high relief with a clambering chilong, its sinuous body terminating in a furcated curling tail, one half of the buckle with a dragon-head hook, the other with an accommodating elliptical aperture, the underside of each with a raised circular panel, the white stone with faint russet highlights; the ornament worked and reticulated with a lobed border enclosing a globular fruit and curling leaves, the translucent white stone with a russet patch to one side

There are minor nicks and bruises to the fragile extremities of both buckles and ornament.
