carved in relief to the top with a sinuous chilong, one end with a irregular oval-shaped aperture, the stone of a yellowish-celadon colour with some russet patches

The scabbard is in overall good condition with expected tiny bruises and nicks. Small sections have possibly been lightly polished to conceal an earlier nick. The catalogue illustration is slightly brighter than the actual colour of the stone.
