modelled recumbent with its legs tucked underneath, its raised head pierced with a circular aperture to the top, applied overall with a greyish-celadon glaze
Condition
Its left ear has been restored. There are typical flakes to the tail, one hoof and three of the knees. The extremities also have some glaze losses, especially to the horns.

所塑綿羊四肢臥於腹下，大眼圓突，憨態可掬，屬文房器，為浙江省北部以及江蘇省南北窰口燒製。此類羊形瓷塑，層出土於三國及晉代墓葬，證此類器甚為墓主人所珍。
可比一類例，出土於浙江省紹興市，圖見《中國陶瓷全集》，卷4，上海，2000年，圖版164，同錄兩相似作例，器身飾刻劃紋，圖版162及163；另比一例，展並錄於《越州窰．動物図鑑》，東京，1992年，編號4，同書另見三刻劃紋羊形作例，編號1至3；第三例，售於香港蘇富比2014年11月24日，編號1025。此外，故宮博物院另貯兩例，圖載《故宮博物院藏文物珍品全集：晉唐瓷器》，香港，1996年，圖版30及31；亦存一例，可作參考，出版於《徐氏藝術館：陶瓷I》，香港，1991年，圖版58（左）。
