each with a tapered foot and a slightly flared rim, covered overall with a pale aubergine glaze, the base with a six-character reign mark in underglaze blue

The rims of both dishes have been very lighly ground in some areas. The glaze just below the rim appear slightly darker in colour and concentrated with glaze bubbles. Some minor glaze firing imperfections. The glaze colour appears to be slightly darker than the catalogue illustration.
