the pear-shaped body rising from a short foot to a tall slender neck with a garlic-head mouth, the body painted in bright cobalt-blue tones with composite leaf scrolls including gingko leaves, all between bands of ruyi-head pendants, the foot skirted with a key fret border, the base with the trigram symbol qian in underglaze blue
Condition
This vase has an approx. 3.5 cm hairline crack to the rim and leans very slightly to one side. The neck has been cut down and the mouth ground. There are small chips to the foot. There are minor firing imperfections including kiln grit to the base, burst bubbles and iron spots.
