邱志傑是國際知名的藝術家、藝評家及策展人，他最近負責策劃了第57屆威尼斯雙年展中國館，主題為〈不息〉。這件帶著漫畫風格的作品《2002年9月16日夜：指紋星球（五張一組）》由五塊畫板組成，是參與式裝置藝術作品，他邀請觀眾親手把黏土塑造成小球，模擬太陽系的行星，這些小球隨後被拍成照片，照片經過數碼排列成圖像，展示在燈箱之上，觀眾可透過室內望遠鏡對它們仔細端詳，近距離看見每個黏土小球上的獨特手印。這件由五塊畫板組成的作品顏色豐富，充滿天馬行空的美感，是邱志傑全心全意投入多媒體創作的最佳印證，他對創作媒材的選擇毫不受限制，攝影、雕塑、表演等均有涉獵。藝術家以太陽系為主題，旨在探尋命運與自我肯定之間的角力，或自發能力與宇宙宿命間的關係。《2002年9月16日夜：指紋星球（五張一組）》是一件裝置藝術，它精彩地示範了邱志傑對集體及參與式創作的求索，作品實驗色彩濃厚，媒材應用廣泛，是邱氏觀念藝術的傑出之作。
