意大利日本戰後藝術顯赫收藏
二戰後,意大利與日本兩國的美學同樣踏上革新軌跡,但當中卻有互相影響的互通之處。一九五零年代末期,具體藝術作品於意大利都靈展出,然而日本大阪具體美術館卻為盧齊歐·封塔納及喬賽普·卡波格羅西舉行雙人展,展出其作品。一九六六年六月,第三十三屆威尼斯雙年展意大利展館外的草地上,草間彌生裝置了1,500顆銀球,這項表演未經批准,但亦「因醜聞而成功」,使草間彌生蜚聲國際。草間彌生雖然從未獲邀參展,卻獲得封塔納道義上為其發聲,更提供經濟支援;同年較早時,草間彌生更在封塔納工作室內逗留了兩個月,期間為即將在米蘭水路藝廊舉行的展覽《Driving Image Show》作準備。意日兩國文化源遠流長,同樣於紛亂動蕩的戰火中復甦,這些事蹟正好記載兩國戰後年代的頻繁互動、文化交流及藝術上的同行軌跡,事蹟繁多,不能盡錄。
